KONY 2012

Yesterday evening I clicked on the "play-button" to watch this link via a friend on Facebook. When the screen went black after 29 minutes of outrage I finally managed to blink and discovered tears streaming down my cheeks. I have thought about the film every second of today. 

Take 29 minutes out of your schedule and watch this incredible film and campaign by filmmaker Jason Russell who went to Africa back in 2003 and came back with a story that is yet to be world known. Jason co-founded the non-profit Invisible Children Inc which is working to make the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army, Joseph Kony, of Uganda famous by raising support for his arrest. Kony's arrest will save thousands of women and children allowing them to live a normal life without fear from the LRA rebels. 

Here's what you can do to make Kony famous: 

1. Show the video to your friends and family
2. Post the video on Facebook or another media site 
3. Join the event Cover the Night on the 20th of April
4. Purchasing any of the goods in Invisible Children Online Store  to spread the word of the campaign, or
5. Make a donation here like I did (since the shipping of a bracelet from the U.S to UK is 20$!) 
6. and sleep with a good conscience!
